Is this a lime? What a treat. My peaches will ripen the second week in August. I always feel like I’ve been given a gift when they do.

We do have limes and the only way I can tell the difference is the location of the tree and the size of the fruit! So you guessed very well. However, this is a Meyer lemon. The tree is loaded this year and I happily count the lemons, thinking lemon pie, lemon muffins, lemon everything. The Meyers are sweeter and the rind is softer so one recipe I bake even uses the rind in the muffin batter.
